How long before the staining comes back?
We recommend mitigating the initial cause of the staining before having the service of removal performed. Most of the time it can be as easy as turning your in ground sprinklers away from your home or having a water treatment company install a filter to prevent minerals from depositing on your surrounding surfaces.
How long does the service take to perform?
Typically it will take anywhere from 2-4 hours to remove mineral deposit staining from a residential property. We always finish a rust removal service with a full cleaning of the area where we removed the staining.
What type of chemicals are used?
We use 2 different types of chemicals for rust removal depending on where the staining is. Concrete Rust is removed with an oxalic acid based chemical. Vinyl and other home exterior surfaces we use a phosphoric acid based chemical. Both are used by certified and trained employees wearing full PPE.
Will the chemicals used damage the surface or surrounding landscaping?
Our crews thoroughly saturate the surrounding landscaping to ensure it doesn’t absorb the chemicals used for removal. We do everything we can to avoid damage to surrounding greenery.
What type of results can I expect from this service?
Most results are near perfect. The surface should look exactly as it did before. Stucco, Brick and Concrete surfaces will tend to bleach a bit and a whiter surface may be left over where the rust once was.
